Chrysalis: The Journal of Transformative Language Arts

Chrysalis is an online, peer reviewed, international journal dedicated to the publication of research and reflection pertaining to Transformative Language Arts. It is a resource for those who are currently studying or practicing TLA and for those interested in the power of the spoken, written, and sung word to engender personal and/or communal change.

Transformative Language Arts is larger than you think. Practitioners include, but are not limited to, singer/songwriters, novelists and poets, spoken word artists, workshop facilitators, actors, graffiti artists, bloggers, community organizers, teachers, therapists, nurses, and the list continues ad infinitum. If you believe in the power of the word to make fundamental, lasting change, then you are a part of the TLA community. Welcome!
